Hopefully you’ve already read my “Where it all began” post to find how I got to where I am today and why I wanted to start this blog. If you haven’t I 100% recommend you take a read!
Just a little background information on me before I get into what my blog is all about. My name is Jillian Wright, some people call me Jill, I’m 25 years old, born and raised in Maine. I have two brothers, a dad, a step mom and hopefully one day I can add a little puppy to my life. I attended Central Michigan University from 2011-2015, graduating with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration – Human Resources. After college, I moved back to Maine to start the next chapter of my life.
So the big question is…. What is my blog all about?!
You’re probably thinking this is going to be just another blonde bimbo trying to create a live laugh love, look at me kind of blog. You’re in luck because it’s not! I want my blog to be so much more, I want it to be focused on you and helping you achieve your goals whether it’s getting in shape, building muscle, running your first 5k or first marathon, losing weight, eating healthier, continuing to evolve within the fitness world or even getting out of a mental rut like I had been in for so many years. Most importantly I want to teach everyone to love yourself during every step of your fitness journey.
If you feel good, you look good!
I don’t want people to make the same mistake I did because practically starving yourself to lose weight or taking weight loss pills, or going to the gym for 2 hours 7 days a week, or not eating for the rest of the day because you had a “big meal” is NOT HEALTHY. I also wanted to make everyone aware that I am not a nutrition specialist or a personal trainer so this blog is based on my own personal experiences.
The next big question…. What’s my blog going to include?!
Remember my blog is to help YOU achieve YOUR goals. My blog will include anything from workouts that I love, healthy/easy recipes I’ve found, tips and tricks to living a healthy lifestyle but most importantly Learning to Love Yourself. You only get one body and it’s so important to take care of it. Some of my blogs will go deeper into past events and how I grew and learned from them.
One thing that I think people will love is that I’m not the world’s best cook, so the recipes I’ll post are super simple and delicious. They’re recipes that if I can make it, then anyone can! You will also notice that these recipes will be gluten and dairy free as I recently found out I can’t consume these foods. Some people question why I haven’t known about these issues or questioning why these symptoms are just appearing now. It’s funny because I’ve had stomach issues since high school, but not too long ago it dawned on me and I figured out the “why”. During and after college, I didn’t really eat carbs or dairy or didn’t really eat in general soooo how would I have known these foods would effect me! Now I’ve learned to fuel my body with all the healthy foods I can eat.
